DAY 5 & 6: 30 Interesting Facts About Yourself.

After a rather eventful Day 5, I unfortunately wasn't able to get around to blogging and continuing my 30 Day Challenge. Therefore, I have chosen to move forward and make my Day 6 post a combination post. I hope you all are enjoying my 30 Day Challenge blog posts. Please, please, please remember to share my links if you feel it's a good read- I cannot wait until the day comes that I have more time and energy to put into a personal website/blog!

30 Interesting Facts About Scottie…

1. I have large hands for a women. However, I am not able to use a large bowling ball due to the finger distance, and I only wear a size 6/6.5 ring.

2. I don't shave my legs as often as I should. I'm not sure how interesting this is to anyone, to some it might be gross… But let's face it, we are humans and we are naturally hairy. This fact is especially true in the winter, I have pictures to prove it- but trust me, I will not share them! Lol.

3. I am the proud owner of a Lilly Pulitzer. Yes, I said it. Of all things I do not really care for, it has been Lilly Pulitzer prints… But fortunately, my taste has changed and I enjoy all things that aren't TOO pink. Plus, the perk of the Lilly planner is that it is SUPER organized, and has plenty of room for writing things!

4. I am extremely terrified of large dogs. I cannot recall what exactly put this fear in me, but I do remember growing up to a huge St. Bernard living next door that barked really loud and obnoxiously… That definitely could've done it!

5. I HATE slobber, drool, and snot. This basically explains why teaching young children is completely out of the questions. And it also explains why our sweet, and old, cat Lucy is no longer aloud to lay on me… She drools so much… I still love her!

6. I love the smell of clean laundry. And for some reason, I enjoy it over any cologne, or deodorant.

7. In 4th or 5th Grade (lord, I am not even old yet), I played the role of a news anchor in a documentary we produced to help raise money for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. When we auditioned for this part in class, we had to use one of those echoing dollar store microphones to perform… Oh the glory days!

8. My roommate and I have been close friends since pre-school. It is such a blessing too! She has been my bff(for life) since I can remember, and we continue to support each other and hold things down at UNCA. So grateful for this chick.

9. I enjoy dressing up. This might not really be 'interesting' because many women do enjoy dressing up and looking nice… but I feel like most people who see me often might not realize this fact since I do often wear work out attire, or typical college student get-ups, i.e., yoga pants, tee-shirt, jacket, and some random shoes!

10. Starbucks doesn't "rock my world!"  I mean, I am white, and I am a girl… And you won't catch me at Starbucks that often! I do enjoy an occasional Passion Tea, Green Tea, or Java Chip Frappe, and and Peppermint Mochas… but quite frankly coffee is best black to me- and that's when I want to drink it, ha!

11. I often complain about my job, but I really enjoy it! Working in retail can be a pain in the you know what. But, it has its days! I have truly been able to help some really great customers, and learned quite a lot about myself from being a Brand Ambassador. ** Be looking out for a post inspired by an interaction with a customer I had during the seasonal shopping time… it will definitely be a good read for all! **

12. I never thought I would go Greek. And I find this one funny, because a great deal of sorority sisters, and frat boys would nod their heads in agreement! I never thought Greek life was for me, and I had terrible assumptions of being a sorority girl… But as an Alpha Xi Delta at UNCA, I am proud to be a cheerleader for the #GoGreek trend!

12. Rose salve is one of my favorite beauty products! It actually made an appearance in an earlier picture with my Lilly planner. Rose salve is perfect for chapped lips and dry skin- which is always a necessity in the Western Carolina Mountains, and one of my favorite places, Pennsylvania.

(you can purchase this product for about $6 at Bath & Body Works!)

13. I cannot carry a big purse. Once upon a time, I enjoyed large bags, simply because they are easily a 'catch all.' However, I always ended up with way too much trash and clutter in the bag, and got tired of thinking about all the things that could fit in it… Like a baby. So I retired big bags, and went with a hand wallet, and of course a satchel.

14. Boots are one of my obsessions. Okay, okay, maybe I should just change that to shoes. Unfortunately, I cannot find the answer as to what prompted this unnecessary addiction, BUT shoes, mainly boots, are just so hard for me to not purchase. I am currently obsessed with my new pair of Blowfish Booties that my sweet boyfriend bought for me for Christmas!

15. I played soccer for most of my life. Yep, that's right! I started pee-wee league around age 5, and played until 12 or 13. I enjoyed playing every position between start to finish- I started as a midfield, went to defense, then went to striker (offense, in which I finally scored!) and finished my career as a goalie! Woo.

16. I hate my feet. I think they are ugly, too big, and I have pinky toes that resemble the tops of a sharpened crayon… So I got a tattoo on my right foot! It says Yahvé Rachète… Which is French for "Yahweh Redeems"

17. I have a very, and I mean very, prominent chin. Although this is something I am able to live with, I can tell you it looks easier than it is! I was made fun of for my big chin in middle school, by this girl who tried to pour tea on me at the lunch table (some of my fellow friends may remember this story)! Anyways, I often joke with myself about being "Chimsen Chin" off of Fairly Odd Parents… Just for proof.

18. I really like gold. No I am not a pirate, and I do not need booty. Okay, that was lame. But really, I enjoy gold over silver sometimes… But in all honestly, I love both.

19. I enjoy doing little things for other people. For example, I love to make-up Sadie's bed when I have time at school. Little things make a difference!

20. I was once a vegetarian. For almost a year, if I remember correctly. It was fun, and it felt great… Until my mom offered to buy Chick-fil-a and I HAD to have chicken!

21. I named my car André. The interesting part of this is that I actually named him Andre in honor of cheap champagne… Because his color resembles Andre.

22. I once wanted to be a tattoo artist. Since I enjoy art, I randomly began designing future tattoos for myself, and things just escalated. This dream didn't last too long, however, because I am one of those people that isn't comfortable inflicting pain on others… and I don't do needles, or blood well! Too bad.

23. I met one of my best friends at church camp! Jewell and her family have been such blessings in my life. We met the summer of 8th grade at Victory Mountain Youth Camp, and if it wasn't for that summer I don't know who I'd be today… I went every year after that. And, best of all, Jewell and I are still best friends! So grateful for her.

24. My boyfriend has a bigger butt than me. I guess once again this may not be an interesting fact you are looking for, but hey, it's an honest fact. Needless to say, I am envious of him rump… it's even a bubble butt. Geez, Dakota.

25. My last math teacher in high school suspects I may end up being a math teacher myself. If anyone who is reading this knows me well, you know I am not interested in math. Well, maybe I wouldn't say I'm not completely disinterested but, I am not very good at math! This comment did give me hope for my mathematic career though!

26. I like my toilet paper over. As a typical ice breaker, some people just assume toilet paper can go whatever way they want, whenever they want… but me personally, I am an over type of lady.

27. I am afraid of the dark. Well, only when I am alone. I slept with a night light until middle school, and then I switched to putting the TV on timer… I'm afraid of the unknown, and what 'could be.'

28. I often take my anger out on whatever I get mad at. This awful fact explains my last iPhone… the fan that shifted in my mac, and a hole in the wall behind my old bedrooms door (that was left by a hair brush, and no I wasn't mad at it, but it was the closest thing to throw, so yeah.)

29. I might be an over instagram-er. Go follow me if you don't already, @Scottea_

30. My teeth are like baby teeth. And regardless of what you say, it does suck most of the time. My dentist really enjoys emphasizing this, and I often have worse treatment because my mouth is just altogether smaller. But I guess at least I don't look like a rabbit!

Hope you enjoyed learning more about me! Keep your eyes out for the continuing 30 Day Challenge posts, and my story about an experience at work over the holiday season! Back to Asheville we go!
